SCHEDULING - Matches must be completed by the below dates.

For Divisions with FOUR (4) Teams:

  • Semi-Finals by August 30

  • Finals on September 13

For Divisions with FIVE (5) or (6) Teams:

  • First Round by August 16

  • Semi-Finals by August 30

  • Finals on September 13

For Divisions with SEVEN (7) or EIGHT (8) Teams:

  • First Round by August 23

  • Semi-Finals by September 6

  • Finals on September 13

For Divisions with More than EIGHT (8) Teams:

  • First Round by August 16

  • Second Round by August 23

  • Semi-Finals by September 6

Tournament Rules and Specifics

Championship Sunday: September 13th

Only a 1.0 difference (2 Levels) in USTA ratings permitted for any Mixed Doubles events.

There must be at least 4 participants (i.e., 4 players for singles, 4 teams for doubles) in each division to declare a club champion.

Every attempt should be made to play your final match on CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY, September 13th. Rain date will be Sunday, September 20th. If schedules do not allow for play on either of those dates, then both teams must be available to complete their match no later than Sunday, September 27th.

Particulars:

  • “Coman” tiebreaker for all matches: 7-point tiebreaker for 1st and 2nd sets; 10-point tiebreaker for 3rd. Full 3rd set is possible IF both opponents agree AND there is no one waiting for a court.

  • Default Surface: HarTru

  • Late Penalty:

    • 15 minutes = loss of serve, side choice and 1 game

    • 30 minutes = default

  • There is no time limit for your match.

  • BOTH opponents have a responsibility to contact each other in a timely fashion to accommodate play BEFORE each round deadline. Scheduling issues should be reported immediately to a Tournament Committee member.

  • Up to 5 HarTru courts can be reserved at any one time on weekdays and after 11 a.m. on weekends.

  • Only members in good standing can participate.

  • ½ year members, as well as Early Bird members can enter.

  • Sportsmanlike conduct is expected. Foul language or racket abuse will not be tolerated.

  • Both teams should bring new balls; winner takes the unopened can.
